I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am Tom Newsom and I have taken over the position as Golf Chairman.

First I would like to thank Mike Cich (Sarge) for helping me with this and for doing such a great job in the past. I would also like to wish him a quick recovery..

We had a Great turnout of 49 Golfers showing up to play at Shreveport County Club. Congrats to the 1st Place team coming in at 15 under par was, Sonny Haire, Byron Poche, Johnny Zuniga and Johnathon Lamare. In 2nd Place at 14 under was Bob Yates, Jeff Savage, Bobby DeMarias, and Frank Robinette. In 3rd place at 12 Under was Dennis Daughtery, Kelly Hardin, Danny Britt, Jeff Tramel and Jeremy White.

Congrats to all a huge thank you to Frances Prewitt, Teri Newsom, Ken and Ruth Sanders for a wonderful meal and cleaning up. You all did a great job!!

I would like to invite you all to come out and play in this months tournament, the 2011 Moose Club Championship. This will be on Sunday Nov 13th at Crooked Hollow at 9:00Am. Please be their no later than 8:45. We will be using the Calloway handicap scoring system and should have a lot of fun. I would also like to let you know that I have worked out a deal with Shreveport Country club for all moose members that would like to play out their. If you show your valid Moose ID card on any Sunday you will get the discount rate on green fees of $38.01 tax included. That’s a hard deal to pass up. They ask that you have at least a foursome of members for now. Also I am trying to work on discounts at several local courses for us. I will keep you posted.
